I purchased L'Adventure about two or three weeks ago based on all the positive reviews I have seen and read.

In my opinion, it is much closer to MODERN batches of aventus than CDNIM, but pre-2016 batches are a totally different story.

You’re going to get a super juicy pineapple up front and that juicy pineapple stays with the fragrance from the top to the base. Me personally I like the smoky batches better (CDNIM) but I also like the more well-rounded batches (L’aventure) so I tend to switch up a lot lol L’aventure isn’t really smoky, it’s more musky in the dry down, not real dark and more fruity it’s really really nice in the air and you’ll garner the same amount of compliments wearing this as you would wearing CDNIM, I do at least. Got myself the new batch with the sticker on the bottle and yes the performance is not that intense despite the name.

The texture of the patchouli is spot on to the patchouli in Aventus, while CDNI is a bit more brash. When I smell the perfume, it makes me think of an arab sheikh sitting on a table full of money and smoking cigar haha. Before I get into reviewing this scent, can we just take a moment to recognize how nice this rubberized, chrome lined box is? Opening smells okayish, somewhere around the Aventus vein, but it is all lost within an hour, drying down into a weird synthetic powdery leather type of smell. I have smelled Creed Aventus long ago and they both smell similar, but I personally don't care if it's a clone or not.Hell, there are even people who claim that chromatography would allow to perfectly identify and imitate the molecular structure and blend of Aventus. If You gave this one this slight soft pineapple note from Explorer or straight from Aventus it would create exact copy of Aventus for my nose.

Went ahead and bought this one and the Armaf one as those were the clones people say were the closest to CA. The dry down is when I could notice a difference, Aventus was smoother while L'aventure was a little harsher when smelt up close. I have Mont Blanc Explorer, Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense, CDNIM (EDP and Limited Edition Pure Parfum), and this one is closer to Aventus than any of them. L'A is more synthetic/too lemony, which is not very pleasant in the first 20-30 mins, but then it settles and it's very decent in the air, but still synthetic/too lemony from up close. As it dries down, this becomes more and more inline with CDNI, reassembling black currant heavy batches of Aventus, like 16D01, and the projection remains lower than CDNI, as does the longevity, lasting a maximum of 5 hours the few times I've worn it so far, but that's not to say it won't get stronger after getting some air in the bottle, as I've had happen with many other scents.At first it smells floral, I couldn't pin point the other note though, but looking at the notes it is DEFINTELY the elemi note. com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. I find L’Aventure leaning more orange scented and CDNIM more dry/dirty lemon scented (at the opening). Sillage barely qualifies as medium, lasts just a few hours, better save your money and don't believe the hype about this. I bought CDNIM LE, L adventure, Pur Lui zebra, Montblanc explorer and iam looking for good Aventus alternative.

There are just a much higher quantity of natural ingredients - especially ambergris - in Aventus when compared to LAI. I wouldn’t even really say CDNIM is better or L’aventure is better, they both smell like Aventus, just different batches of Aventus and it really boils down to what you like. Projection could have been better and the sillage is not very strong but it last 24 hours on my skin. Club De Nuit Intense was also much more prominent on the birch and smokey nuances but always lacked on the vanilla sweet nuances Creed Aventus has that I am in love with. it is just unfknblvble in every way from the moment it hits your skin till the moment you scrub yourself down in the shower with lots of soap and finally remove it. Considering the poor performance that a lot of people are stating here, I gotta say that I do not have such problems. The smokiness is a bit too synthetic, so that the initial euphoria to have found a cheap clone of the bestseller we all know disappears quite quickly. Im a woman so its not my taste I thought this would be a nice unisex fragrance but nooooo, so ended up giving it to my dad.
