Value for money wise, I'd say for the features itself it's not a bad value proposition on paper so I decided to take a punt. Performance: It takes about 12 seconds from a cold start up, so when you put your selt belt on and check your mirrors, it'll lag about 1-2secs before you can start driving.
I needed to get new holding brackets for the head unit as the ones included in the box were not compatible with my vehicle. If you want to use CarPlay navigation while listening to FM/AM radio or USB music, it is highly recommended to purchase the ATOTO F7 XE, A6 PF, and A6 PP series. Original USB cable for wired connection: If you choose to use wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto, factory/original USB cables are required.
Extra accessories you may need to purchase: As this is a universally fit head unit, extra accessories may be required to finish installation in a specific vehicle (not provided in the package). Android Auto and Carplay are seamless and work well but there is the very occasional glitch, perhaps though, I suspect this is more an AA/CP software issue rather than Atoto's. The startup time is lower than in my old head unit, ~10 seconds to boot + ~10 seconds for Android Auto to be fully initialized. After getting the holding brackets my next challenge was getting the USB cable from the back of the head unit to the front of my car.

Non-manufacturer made USB cables may easily cause connection issues, such as black screen after minutes of playback, connection failure or unstable phone connection. Installation: Terrible - the bracket and their respective bracket holes do not line up properly so I sort of had to fashion it a bit (drilling it bigger) to make it fit. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Software: Linux based and as mentioned earlier, bootup time is not the quickest BUT decent and probably IMHO, acceptable. With very few smartphones with a curved screen, there will be a tiny black area on the 4 edges of F7G2A7WE's screen.
