The information is extremely helpful for Motorhome owners, as we are, and what with the wonderful photographs, well, it’s given us even more incentive to travel and visit the NC500 as soon as we can find a fortnight or so, spare days to do so. Superb photography which I appreciate as it is a hobby of mine and one reason I bought your book as well as having lists of various aspects of a trip my hubby Simon and myself hope to make later this year or next once I have retired. We have over the years visited many parts of Scotland and experienced all weathers, even trout and salmon fishing on North Uist in a Force 7 in a boat – must have been mad as we broke the oar and had to drift to shore and walk back to the car. I live in Scotland and appreciate what a wee bit of earthly treasure we have to appreciate and protect for future generations . For me the best feature is the lists such as best distilleries, best waterfalls and beaches, where to stay.

Gemma and Campbell’s attention to detail, both in description and photography really helped enhance our trip. As my husband came from theNW Highlands we have travelled the Wesr coast since 1973 when the roads especially the pass of the cattle and Docherty pass were very very narrow and the drivers were more respectful.If, like me and my wife, you are planning on doing this trip soon, this book is a compulsory companion. A fabulous guide book to NC500 the photos are amazing and so much information to plan our trip to Scotland! Not only got the book but also a free download for my husband to view,didnt realise the code had ran out and the very next day they extended it for me,no problem,which they really didnt have to do!

However when it arrived I got into it very quickly and started in my mind , my own trips on the nc500 using the book all the way.For my own personal viewpoint if you wanted to take your guidebooks to the next level so to speak, what about producing a guidebook that also comes with a map? We bought our van in November 2021 after many months of contemplation and started to follow highlands2hammocks for some trip inspiration – I bought your book for my husband for Christmas and we are now planning our first significant trip north to do the NC500!

We have just completed the NC500, the book was a god send, it pointed out places to visit, eat and diesel stops as well as finding our own, we didn’t do much planning, we are both 66 and we had decide now was the time to go, so we borrowed a tent of our son and off we went and as we went round the coast the more we got into it, what a amazing place, it has taken us 10 days luckily we have no time restrictions, we are now in Skye thinking what a fantastic adventure, something we have never had the chance to do before.Would highly recommend not only to people thinking about going, but also those that live Scotland and want to know more about what there is to do there. Having planned to do this route for a few years we had to postpone for obvious reasons over the last year. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Gemma and Campbell have used their personal experiences of the NC500 and put it in an easy to follow guide. It is extremely well presented and laid out giving all the essential information one would need with additional campervan information such as waste and fresh water locations.
