Description

Adventures into outer space, a touch of his own brand of magic in the Christmas pantomime and diving for hidden treasures under the sea! Issi had camouflaged his packing case with branches and leaves and the children could only see the middle letters ISSI NOHO, which they took to be his name.

Nostalgia Central covers the period 1950 to 1999 and contains some words and references which reflect the attitudes of those times and which may be considered culturally sensitive, offensive or inappropriate today. Nick Smith and Neil Riley have been producing their unique brand of “psychedelic beats” under the name Issi Noho since the mid-90s. As one of the premier rare book sites on the Internet, Alibris has thousands of rare books, first editions, and signed books available.Their music has been featured on radio stations worldwide, played in nightclubs, and even found its way onto dance compilation albums. Andrew and Sally took Issi to stay with the Martin family where they discovered he had magic powers which he would invoke by reading number puzzles from cards which he kept in a pouch around his neck – although his magic usually went awry. He can work a little bit of magic with the magic cards he inherited from his ancestors in China, but because he isn’t very good at arithmetic the magic sometimes goes wrong. I didn't believe they would, but he persevered and took my scripts to both the BBC and Thames Television.

Throughout their career, Issi Noho has garnered attention and recognition, having been signed to labels such as Acetate Ltd (part of the Big Fish/Bonzai Records group), CEM UK, Industry Recordings, Elliptic Recordings, and Asnazzy Productions. He magics a huge load of fresh produce onto the milk float, which becomes so overloaded that nothing can be removed from it!Issi Noho is the eponymous main character in a series of books and children's television programmes created, written and narrated by author Keith Chatfield. Standon and produced by Thames Television, Issi Noho was a series of stories about the titular panda.

Or else he uses his magic cards to provide amusement for himself – a room full of musical instruments, and even a knight on horseback to teach him to play chess. A subtle guitar melody adds a touch of organic allure to the mix, gradually building and developing into a groove that is both engaging and subtly electronic. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. His name was based on a fragmentary reading of the words printed on the crate: "ThIS SIde up, use NO HOoks. Covers scuffed with creasing, contents have light use marks and wear, binding tight and almost square.KEITH wrote TV programmes and books about me and he has asked me to tell you more about me and the other characters he created. It was simply a series of still pictures narrated by a male actor, about a magical panda who had been discovered on some waste ground by a group of children. As he sits chewing his licorice shoelace, Issi plans all kinds of time-saving devices for other people, like getting a Roman soldier to help Mr Martin build a garden wall. He wrote and narrated over 100 children’s television programmes which have been distributed to more than 30 different countries.

First aired on British TV in 1977, Issi Noho was an "illustrated" children's series, meaning that the program was presented in the form of a book, with voice-overs complementing the colorful visuals.I appeared on Thames Television, first between 1974 and 1975 but then repeated through into the 80s.
