Five star I gave because the information contained in book is simply sublime in terms of practical approach. The second part documents the relevant history, examination and investigations for all the major body systems. P>Macleod’s Clinical Examination is enhanced with 32 supplementary videos demonstrating key clinical examination routines described in the book, many new and revised for this edition in line with latest guidance and best practice. A perfect snapshot to basic clinical examinations and has a useful online component to prevent you from dragging the book round with you.

Fifty years since it was first published and now fully revised, Macleod’s remains the textbook of choice for medical students, junior doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners who understand that excellence in clinical examination is integral to good practice. At Elsevier Health we are dedicated to supporting lifelong learning for both students and practitioners. There are snippets of imaging to help the reader familiarise themselves with it and where it can be used. I'm a nurse and this gave me insights into how to do a patient examination in a practice nurse type environment. The book has accompanying videos demonstrating many of the key clinical examination routines as set out in the book. I'm not a Doctor, I'm a software developer but I read all medical books jus for interest incl - Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, MicroBiology, Pathology, Parasitology, Community Medicine, Gyn Obs, Surgery, Medicine, ENT, Optho.

This classic textbook aims to assist clinicians develop the consultation skills required to elicit a clear history, and the practical skills needed to detect clinical signs of disease. Edinburgh Medics, a Res Medica supplement courtesy of the Royal Medical Society, July 2005 [Macleod's] has lists scattered through the text in little boxes titled "Examination Sequence".

Macleod’s Clinical Examination is enhanced with 32 supplementary videos demonstrating key clinical examination routines described in the book, many new and revised for this edition in line with latest guidance and best practice. Fifty years since it was first published and now fully revised, Macleods remains the textbook of choice for medical students, junior doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners who understand that excellence in clinical examination is integral to good practice. When logging into the online content also the videos are a great visual way of consolidating what has been learnt/read in the section/chapter. The systematic approach to examination and potential diagnosis is structured well and will be a great learning and revision aid. Finally someone is telling us how to actually do the examinations we were meant to be practising all year. We publish over 700 journals and 4,000 books and offer an extensive portfolio of online tools in education, practitioner reference and point of care.

The third section covers examination in specific situations and emphasises an integrated and structured approach to these patients. Nevertheless you will like it but the desire to obtain classic print, printed in great Britain remains unfulfilled.
