I imagine people new to the contemporary romance genre would enjoy this but overall, it's a pretty basic contemporary romance series with boring smut.

She makes Caleb, who has already professed his feelings for her, keep coming to her bakery three days a week to prove that he really does love her—because the month of dating and conversations and sex before that didn’t say as much? Not much building of their relationship or getting to know them individually outside of their physical relationship. Caleb has had a long-time crush on Layla, and the dating scenario is an opportunity for him to prove how much she means to him.I jump in with two feet when there’s even a hint of something, pouring all of myself into everything.

I keep staring at them as he slides right up to the bar, next to me, and places both his hands flat on the bartop. Apparently, owning the bakery at Inglewild's most romantic destination does not help one's love life - despite her best efforts. At the start of the book Layla runs into Caleb and she finally, FINALLY, notices him and is flabbergasted at how suddenly attractive he was.Apparently, owning the bakery at Inglewild’s most romantic destination does not help one’s love life – despite her best efforts. It seems to be something that brings together people who are right for each other but this something also seems to scramble and warp their communications skills. Arrangement or no, everything I’ve felt with you, everything I’ve said to you—” He shakes his head slightly, that smile finally tripping from his eyes to the curve of his cheeks.

While we attempt to keep our posts PG-13, the material reviewed and discussed is intended for adults (18 years and older). As a professional baker I was really looking forward to main character Layla Dupree’s book, Mixed Signals. And it often is, unfortunately but this just felt quite a bit weaker than a lot of others and it was done for flimsy reasons and took like one random conversation with someone to set it straight and for me, that just felt a bit unnecessary. I loved Caleb and Layla in the previous stories, but I was not prepared for the total swoonfest that was them together. After saving Layla from another date gone bad, he has a simple proposition: one month of no-strings dating.

I'm really hoping that the author moves away at some point from this particular aspect of her writing because I think the questioning and doubts could have still happened while they worked together more. No ow/om drama and neither were virgins (although h's past experiences have been lackluster and H works with her on that and it's just so good). Caleb has struggled in the dating game by wearing his heart on his sleeve and apparently falling too fast, but lets be real. Before I start my review, I have to emphasize that Caleb Alvarez is a real cinnamon bun, the best book boyfriend you can ever be introduced to. Maybe the reason why you haven’t figured out how to fit your pieces with someone else is because you haven’t found the right puzzle.

I don't get a good look at his face because he's busy looking over his shoulder at the group he just wandered away from, shouting something with a laugh. the way you smiled in the front seat of your car that very first night made me think I could love you, just a little bit. They come up with an "arrangement" to date each other so they can figure out what they are doing wrong. The third-act disagreement in the book made me roll my eyes, but I loved everything about this small-town romance.
