Description

The V7 Trigger provides powerful suction for a handheld vacuum cleaner. It can’t match the V8, V10, and V11 when it comes to raw power, but we found that it does a brilliant job of most cleaning tasks for a lower price. Let’s take a closer look at how the Trigger performs when faced with common handheld vacuum tasks. Around the Home

Although it’s no shorter than the V15, the collection bin is smaller at 350ml, and it doesn’t contain as many of Dyson’s cyclones, reducing the overall suction power to 150AW. Don’t let that put you off, though, because there’s still enough power here to perform a fantastic cleaning job, albeit in a smaller unit that doesn’t take up as much room, so is easier to store. It’s also a good deal cheaper than the V15.Just like the larger V7 Absolute, the Trigger sports the hygienic bin system which makes emptying the reservoir simple and painless. When you are going to replace the Dyson knob, you need to use the right tools. You will need a small cross head screwdriver and a Torx T8 screwdriver. Unscrew the filter of the Dyson vacuum cleaner and remove the dust container from the vacuum cleaner (with the red clip) The motorised tool is also great for pulling pet hair out of carpet fibres. A downside is that it requires power, which reduces the run-time of the battery – although we found that the increased performance is nearly always worth this trade-off. Tip: Looking for other handheld vacuums with a pet turbo tool? Take a look at the Gtech Multi Mk2 or the Shark CH950UKT. Other Tools and Accessories

The mini motorised tool is great for cleaning most surfaces, but it’s too bulky for awkward locations. It may also be too abrasive for delicate surfaces. For this reason, Dyson has included the following tools: It also comes with extensions aplenty. As well as the main vacuum unit, the extension pole and extra-large cleaning head (with hair removal veins to keep it clean), the Dyson Outsize comes with a smaller soft head for hard floors and a mini-motorised tool for cleaning stairs and other inconvenient places. You’ll also get a variety of brushes, adaptors and other extensions. Like all Dyson vacuums, the V7 Trigger is a bagless model that’s built with two tiers of radial cyclones to capture microscopic dust and other particles. The cyclonic design also prevents loss of suction as the vacuum fills up, which is a common problem for cheaper handheld vacs. While the Trigger’s filter does a decent job of removing allergens, there are better options that filter smaller particles if you suffer from allergies.

How does the V7 Trigger compare to other handheld vacuums though? And is it worth the hefty price tag? Read our Dyson V7 Trigger review to find out. Overview of the Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum Cleaner The V7 Trigger wasn’t alone in this challenge. As a point of comparison, I also tested the area with a Dyson V8. Both vacuums had a tough time but the V8 on MAX power cleaned the area while the V7 at the same setting struggled.

For a handheld vac, you won't get much better in terms of suction. The Trigger sports the same Dyson V7 digital motor as the larger model, so it has incredible power for such a small unit. The Dyson V7 Trigger is a handheld-only version of the popular V7 series. Read our full review to find out whether it’s a match for your vacuum cleaner requirements. One of the things we love about the V7 Trigger is the mini motorised tool, which is a small attachment consisting of a powered brush bar and stiff bristles. During our tests, using this tool made the vacuum much more effective at removing stubborn dirt, as the vacuum can agitate debris rather than relying on suction power alone.Replacing the Dyson button is not a difficult job, but it does consist of many actions that require careful attention. Although replacement does not require technical knowledge, you do need to keep your head up and use the right tools. In this guide I will help you step by step. When should you replace the Dyson Trigger button? As the Trigger is based on the full-size V7 vacuum, we found it to be bulkier than most handheld vacuums. This can make it awkward to use in the tightest locations, although it’s still a great choice for car seats and stairs.

Upright – This is a one-piece unit and the model that most closely resembles the traditional machine that most people will picture when they think of a vacuum cleaner. The suction head is at the bottom, the handle is at the top and the dust container mounted in between. It’s a simple, tried and tested design. Having said that, for most upholstery, the V7 Trigger is powerful enough to do the job in regular mode with little effort. And the 30-minute battery life is more than sufficient, too, principally because it only cleans when you squeeze the trigger. When you release your finger from the trigger, the vacuum switches off so you’re not draining the battery when you move from one place to another.

The Dyson V7 Trigger is ideal for use in tight spaces - but it's not powerful enough to be your only vacuum cleaner

However, we found cleaning pet hair to be a task where the MAX mode is essential, particularly if the hair is caught in carpets or sofas. This greatly reduces run-time, although the standard suction mode still does a decent job for loose hairs. Price & Value for Money When using the mini motorised tool, the V7 Trigger is one of the best handheld vacuums for removing pet hair. It’s capable of removing hair that’s been ground into rugs or carpet fibres, which is a task most handhelds we test struggle with. The mini motorised head has more than 3,900 stiff bristles to maximise the amount of dirt that’s lifted from the carpet, making it ideal for cleaning furniture, upholstery and stair carpets. The two-in-one combination tool is helpful when vacuuming multiple surfaces, and the crevice tool aids extracting dirt from corners and tighter gaps. The attachments clip in easily, too, provided you keep the couplings clean. It’s bigger and wider than some of the more compact handheld vacuums on the market though. It’s certainly not a vacuum you’d want to keep on display, which is the case for slimline and stylish handheld vacuums like the Shark WV200UK.
