Sword & Shield differ from previous games in that only Pokémon from the Galar Pokédex can be found in the game. Pokémon outside of this list (besides a few exceptions) cannot be transferred into the game at all. However, with the addition of the Expansion Pass the number of Pokémon has since expanded - see The Isle of Armor Pokédex and The Crown Tundra Pokédex for details. The fire starter Pokemon is called Scorbunny and appears to be a fleet-footed rabbit. Scorbunny leaves embers wherever it stands.
Many regions in past Pokemon games were inspired by real countries. Among these are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh (Japan) Unova (New York, USA,) Kalos (Paris, France,) and Alola (Hawaii).
